RESPOND Virtual Meetings-Labor Trafficking and Immigration

  • The Alliance for Human Services 2045 W. Grand Ave., Ste B #50820 Chicago, IL 60612-1577 United States (map)

Recently the Biden Administration created new guidance encouraging DHS to not perform immigration raids in workplaces. What does this mean for families without papers living in Lake County? How do these working situations affect families and the communities they live in? In commemoration of Human Trafficking Awareness month, Alliance members’ Farmworkers and Landscapers Advocacy Project (FLAP) and HACES will provide an overview of these situations and provide insight social workers and other frontline workers can use to better support these families.
